Ready to Open

Take a peek at our center:

Our state lady came this morning and did her follow up inspection. I am happy (relieved, excited, ecstatic...) to report that we are now licensed with the state of Texas to provide childcare. Yippeee!!! Now, all we need is to fill it up with children!

Out With the Old

We labored today on Labor Day. A friend of ours from church, Randy Milford, brought his tractor and we cleared the play area of the bark chips turned garden mulch. A little smoothing and it will be ready for pea gravel. We also started the process of removing the crimson, 1960's carpet in the sanctuary area. Big fun, let me tell you! But the kids were really cute, "helping" Randy drive the tractor and loading up the wheel barrow with stray pieces of junk from the sanctuary--complete with grunts of exertion.

Getting Started

Welcome to Sunnyside Kids! We're hard at work converting an old church building into a daycare center. Sometimes we are frustrated by the slow pace, but in the end, we know we will have a great facility for children to grow and develop, and we're excited about that.
